QotD: Neurotic Behavior

What's the one thing you're most neurotic about?

Lately it ihas been keeping the house clean. I dont know why or where it came from...but my house cannot be clean enough. I can get the kitchen spotless but it wont feel good until the rooms touching the kitchen are clean... it doesnt make sense to have one room clean when the other rooms will just track dirty floors and junk into them. So once I start thinking like that, I am not happy till the whole house has been cleaned...which never happens because I dont have the time to clean my house that much. I am turning into a neat freak... It was so much easier when I didnt care if the house was spotless.

Another thing I am freakish about is bathrooms. Whether it is me or my kids...I hate bathrooms. In public bathrooms, I feel like a surgeon getting ready to do surgery. I "hover" so I dont touch the toilet seat and I tell the boys to make sure their skin doesnt touch the toilet because its gross. I never use the first part of the toilet paper that was left from the person before me...you never know who was in there and what they did. People have a SICK sense of humor! After we wash our hands, I turn the water off with my paper towel and use the paper towel to open the door so I dont touch anyhitng nasty stuff. I used to use my sleeve, but realized how gross that was and that my kids hug my arms and if I have bathroom door handle germs on my sleeves they are pretty much rubbing thier faces all over the bathroom germs. :( Yuck. Once I get out, I take a big sigh of relief....then I go sit back down to finish eating and start wondering who's mouth was on the fork beofre me and if the guy doing the dishes did a good job.........
