I just fell in love yesterday

He was soooo cute. If only you could have seen him- he has the biggest brown eyes you've ever seen. The most gentle sweet face, and he is full of love and had tons of energy.  His feet were huge though, and  he smelled kind of funny, but he liked to lick and nibble on my ears! I dont know why, but for some reason, Justin and Ryan didnt like him! I thought that he was so cute that everytime I saw his face, I melted and got that gushy butterfly feeling in my tummy. All I know is that I want him sooooo bad. The problem?? I dont think Jake wants a puppy. Me?? I could have taken him home last night- the bonus?? He was 1/2 price since there was a younger Golden Retriever puppy there who would go faster than this one since he was 1 month older than the other. Ahhhh... sweet little puppy :) I dont know who is going to take him home- but I loved that sweet little guy.

These shoes are made for walkin'

I brought Ryan to stride-rite last night to get his very first pair of shoes. I had this really fun pair of sandals picked out (there's not a whole lot to choose from there though), but the girl said they wouldnt fit him since his feet were so wide. So she gives me about 5 options of what WILL work, so I pick out my second choice - a nice looking pair of tennis shoes...they have better support for his first pair of shoes anyway. She goes into the back to get his size and we try them on. (By the way...I am KICKING myself becasue I left the camera on the seat of the van, so I was mad that I couldnt get the pictures of his first pair of shoes for his baby book. DOPE!!!!) She struggles with them for a bit and just says, "yeah, these arent happening." Turns out he has a chubby lil foot and needs a double wide shoe...just like his brothers when they were babies too. :)  The bummer is that the only ones that would fit him with the 2W wide, are those plain old fasioned white shoes...the high top looking ones. BUT, I sucked up my need for high fasioned cute shoes and decided that the most important thing was that they actaully FIT his little foot!!! haha. :) Now, if only I could get the kid to walk in them, or even stand in them...that would be a good thing! He hates his little shoes. Cant say I blame him- the other ones were so much cuter. I just cant believe my baby is this old already!!!

Vox Hunt: Close to the Heart

Show us a treasured object.

The crazy thing is that I was just daydreaming in the living room before I put Justin and Ryan down for their naps. I zoned out into this thing and thought about how if I ever had to race out of the house for a fire or something, this would be one of the things I grabbed (obviously once I knew everyone was safe)! Andy made it for me in preschool last year. They did it at the end of the year for mothers day and it was one of those things that make a mommy tear up because it is so sweet and special :)

QotD: Dream Job

What's holding you back from your dream job?
Submitted by Question of the Day.

Well...holding me back from the ultimate dream job is the distance...we dont live in Florida and I would love to be a Disney Imagineer :)

And the realistic dream job is in the works...I am slowly going to school and will apply for the Dental Hygiene program when the kids are at the right age.

QotD: I Left My Heart in...

What do you love about where you live?
Submitted by Emu with a Clue.

It is close to everyone, and that for the first time since we have moved into a house- I know this one is forever. When I picture us 40 years down the road, I know exactly where we will be- and that is a great and calm feeling! The only thing I wonder about when I am day dreaming about then, is what will still be the same and what will we have changed with the house and yard!

I have never felt like that with any of the other houses we have lived in. I never imagined us in them forever...the only thing I wish we could do differently is that we could have brought the rest of our "Backyardigans" clan with us. We had the BEST group of neighbors...seriously. So if they could just be our neighbors down here too...that would be the best of both worlds!

Pictures vs. housework....

For the last couple of days, I have been slacking on doing almost any kind of cleaning just to catch up on some of the things I have been wanting to do with our pictures- like printing out Justin's 3 year pictures and Ryan's 9 month pictures from January. A few months late...but better late than never. So sorry no body got any 9 month pictures of Ryan...I will hand them out with his 1 yr pictures that I will have in about a week!

I spruced up some pictures on my paint shop pro and now I have to paint the frames for them... and printed out some other pictures to fill some empty frames. I just cant seem to do both though...I am either doing some things TO the house (to decorate it) and make it look like a home finally- or I am cleaning the thing constantly. Both cannot get done- I like to imagine in my head that I am super woman and that I can get the house picked up, laundry done and put away, dishes done, bathrooms cleaned AND look through my billions of picture files on the computer and get them printed out and hung up. Or get Pictures painted for the boys' dinosaur bathroom- or get my scrapbook room organized and even just A measley little page done. Then I get the kids down for a nap,  get one or 2 things done on my list, and they are awake! Well...maybe I am not super woman after all- but I really wish I was!

Oh! Did I mention I went to Archivers with a friend and spent waaaaay too much $$$? Now I actaully have the books I needed this whole time to get started. Now I have no excuse there... I have to get started on those- so at this rate...I wont be cleaning the house again for about 10 years. Think Jake will let me hire a maid?

Till death do us part...

So we had a party at my Grandmas this weekend for my Uncle Jim, Ryan and me. It was fun...but there was a certain someone there (who I will not name just because that wouldnt be very nice of me) who was a TOTAL Debbie Downer the whole day. Let's just say she was from the "other" side.

The first thing she says to my mom is this, :

"Oh, Becky. I was just with my friend, who has Hotchkins Diesease, and they are dying you know. And all I could think about was you. "

WTF???? Really, are you that braindead or senile??? Why would you go up to someone who has BEATEN breast cancer and is almost done with chemo...and say something like that?? It upset my mom so much.

The second thing she says is this : (Kind of a long conversation...)

Cops was on TV and Haylee was sitting on Lynns lap watching it. They were talking about how Haylee didnt like the show and somewhere this person pipes in with a mini-lecture...

" Well....you know so and so's cousin was a police officer....and he DIED. You know Haylee, sometimes they have to DIE for thier jobs."

I look at my 6 year old niece sitting on my sisters lap just taking that in, looking a little confused and upset about what she just heard...but totally didnt need to hear. Why would you say that to a 6 yr old little girl? TO make her upset  and feel really bad?

The third thing she said was this... (In a conversation with my aunt)

"So, how are you?..." good

How's Erik?... good

Then they say something about going away to school and oh how fast they grow up and then she says it...

"Yeah, and you know, people DIE everyday!!! I mean, look at Danny- HE died. "

And people wonder why I dont go to certain sides of the family and only the other. This pretty much sums it up right there.

I dont even know what to say...other than ^*(%&%$%&))*)__#@!&^%#@

Vox Hunt: Old Chicken!

Show us a discontinued food or product you wish would return.
Submitted by Shawn.

Ok...there is no picture that I could find. I wish that Arby's would bring back their OLD chicken sandwich. You know...from YEARS ago. I am talking before they went to the nasty leaf lettuce and got the sesame seed bun- I want the poopy seed bun, the shredded lettuce... and that breading on the chicken was to die for. Damn Arby's for trying to be like everyone else and making a chicken sandwich that is plain old forgettable. Conformist jerks. Those bastards... I thought we had something special.

Yeah...I know they just started putting shredded lettuce back on their chicken (The leafy stuff was ALWAYS limp and soggy) But the breading still sucks and the bun is still sesame. Get it right... that is as bad as Burger Kings new marketing gig...you know- where they tell people they dont sell the whopper anymore? Yeah, that is Arby's with their chicken. What else is there?? Yeah...their other stuff is ok- but the chicken was the best. Now its not. Atleast Burger King has really good Chicken sandwiches...especially if you add cheese...MMMMmmm....

Knock, Knock. Who's there???

A little bird.

Really! I woke up yesterday morning to this weird "click click tap tap" sound coming from the living room. I thought it was one of the boys who might have gone downstairs. I got to the landing on the steps and looked out the transom window above the door and there it was. A little bird sitting there and pecking at our glass trying to get into the house. Once it saw me, it flew away, but came back about 5 minutes later.

All I can think of right now is calling it a birdbrain and that it better not make a house out of our porch because then no one will ever come to visit us if they are getting their heads pooped on by tweetie everytime they come over.

(can you tell I really have nothing to talk about lately...its like a slow news night for me...you know those nights. You look at whoever is watching the news with you and you both have this big question mark on your faces. Did they really just do an Extra on that??? Yeah...thats me on this thing lately. Oh well.)

"Wisconsin Tells"

Well, we did it! We went on our first trip (Well, the first one that was NOT to the cabin anyway!!) We had a blast. I know I really wanted to go to Florida, but I think for now, this was way better. Going to the Dells was so fun... or as Justin calls it, "Wisconsin Tells." I have said this so many times since we got back that I am sick of saying it...but I will one more time..just for good measure. I had no idea that the Dells had all that stuff. I really thought that it was the hotles/resorts that you can see from 94, and a river with Duck boats on it. Whoopie, right? Holy crap... once we got off the highway and got back there, I was blown away. There are roller coasters, ferris wheels, candy shops, indoor amusement parks, an exploritory, tons of food, and every hotel had a totally different theme. Jake said it kind of reminded him of what Vegas would be like. The water park we went to was perfect for the kids too. It wasnt one of the "big" named resorts. This one is geared for 11 and under, so one of the pools only went as deep as 16 inches or something like that. We spent 2 nights there, then one in Milwaukee to see the old stomping grounds from when Jake was in school down there. It really was so much fun... aside from crazy loud hotels and maybe being one day too many... I hope the boys have awesome memories of this forever :) I dont even know how to narrow down the pictures I took...so I will just put a bunch on here. Picture freak...yep. I will never regret taking too many!

DAY1: Getting ready for the car ride (Ryan's first time facing forward!!) and playing in the waterpark when we got there...

DAY3: Milwaukee's COLD Lake front- Lake Michigan, and the new hotel with a new room number for the boys to remember.

DAY 4: Mitchell Domes, Milwaukee Pier, and the MKE Airport "observing" parking lot

So...sorry for the buttload of pictures. Atleast I only put about a third of them on here :)

Sweetest little birthday present

Andy decided all on his own, that since it was my birthday, he was going to clean the house for me. He really went to town too! He took Ryan's high chair tray and cleaned off the crumbs and washed it with a wet towel. Then he cleaned off the rest of the dishes and even emptied out the food that was still on the plates! He swept the kitchen floor where Ryan ate/threw his lunch earlier, and he vacuumed the carpet. He was so sweet... He kept saying things like "Oh I am so tired...or, Oh my back is tired- but I am going to keep doing this for you mommy...because its your birthday." It was the sweetest little thing ever. He never took his hood off. He really likes those things :) Thank you Andy... thank you my little sweetie pie :)

I have more sweeties too. Jake went out and got a dairy queen cake, a balloon, flowers (even my favorite kinds and colors- he remembered that from years ago) and the Carrie Underwood CD that I have been wanting to get. The sweetest part was that he remembered I had a little plastic teddy bear in the cupboard that I got from my grandma and he put that on the cake too. This is no normal little bear either...it is so sweet. It says "youre special" on it and the bear is holding a star. My grandma used to put that on the side of our plates every weekend when she would make us a big huge breakfast. It was just a little something extra that grandmas do :) But he remembered that and put it on my cake. He also got frosting and wrote "Happy B-day mom" on it.

I think I will turn 30 every day...
