What a weird shitty day. I dont want to be negative or anything, but seriously. I must have pissed the big man off or something. Here's a glimps...
It started off with worrying about Jake in the morning.
Then a bad dream.
Then Justin got locked outside at 5:45 am.
Then I tried to forget it all and get to the grocery store. Then comes a whole new list of B.S...
I was getting clothes for the boys who were SUPPOSED to be watching the Land Before Time while I got the clothes. Instead I am asked, "Mommy, are batteries poison?" I tried as hard as I could not to show the panic I felt so Justin would give me a straight answer...Why do you want to know? Did you swallow one? (as he is looking scared and holding his belly). No. didnt swallow one. (Phew). Did you put one in your mouth? No. (phew.) I put TWO in my mouth. Awww shit. I asked him to show me the batteries and where they came from. It was from a flash light and there were only two batteries in it, and I had the two...so I know he didnt swallow one. BUT, how bad is it to put batteries in your mouth? I called Jake and we figured if he didnt swallow one, he should be ok.
Then there was the storm during nap time that knocked over all of my corn- hopefully the string Jake used to hold it back up works. I had a cute little set of ceramic mushrooms in my front garden and one of those broke too. We had a good time in the basement since the sky went green and I freaked out a little.
Then it came time to think about supper. I STILL hadnt made it to the grocery store so we had nothing here. We decided to do Applebee's to go. Jake was going to pick it up on his way home...until he called and asked if I could get it since he got into a little fender bender. I knew from the second he left for work that something weird was going to happen. I hate days like this.
On the positive side..I got to watch Andy at Tball and laugh at the cute little 5-6 year olds trying to hit the ball and run straight to second, or thow the ball AT the runner to tag them out. No no kids, this is T-ball, not dodge ball :) Hilarious and sweet. I watched the game stop for a little boy who scratched his elbow and had to get a hug from his daddy before he could go back out to third base. It was so sweet-
Then I got dairy Queen. I figured after this day, we all deserved a little treat.
Now Jake is at Cub for me and I am going to clean the kitchen before he gets back. So lets hope to god for a better start to tomorrow!!!
I cant take another day like today.
I HATE days like that! You did the right thing by getting Dairy Queen! :)
