A Spontaneous Picnic

I am really so unmotivated right now- and looking for any reason not to pack up and do laundry, so I just thought I'd tell you about my lunch. :)

My neighbor had the day off today, and she was out in the backyard painting her white fence around her garden. Me and the kids went out to play on the swing set for a while, so I walked over to see her. We ended up planning a picnic with the kids. She brought the grapes and goldfish crackers and juice boxes. I brought the PB and J's. She laughed at me for wrapping them individaully in their own paper towels. I blamed it on working in a deli for a while before. We had blankets to sit on but the kids went and sat on the playset instead. So it was just me, Maggie, and Ryan sitting on the blankets having a picnic. I hoped she didnt mind sitting in the crunchy grass with the weeds popping up everywhere (we really need to get out there with some weed killer!) and she hoped I didnt mind drinking cheap wine out of a plastic wine glass. We laughed at how high class our picnic was- but hey, it was fun and thats all that matters. I am so happy to finally have found a neighbor in the new neighborhood that is as cool as our old neighbors. (By the way- if you guys are reading this...I reallly miss you and cant wait for the 12th!!!)

Ok... enough stalling I guess. I am off to get something done.
