free lettuce for my neighbors

I have a ton of lettuce from my garden that I had to cut tonight. It is getting over taken by my gi-normous pumpkins and has no room anymore. I am trying to guide the pumpkins out of the garden- so hopefully I can have fresh salads all summer long! So my point is, if anyone wants some yummy garden fresh lettuce- let me know and I will personally deliver it to you :) (friends and family only..sorry. haha)  Anyone? Anyone?? Going one, going twice.... (seriously) You will be doing me a favor because I will feel bad if it goes bad sitting in my fridge! I would take a picture of my monster pumpkin vines, but I am way to lazy at the moment and I dont want to get up. I also have some pic's from up north- I will stick them on here another day when I have more ambition. And I guess the same offer goes for green onions too!! I have way more of them than I can use... and parsley, oregano, and thyme. Such a dorky old lady thing to do- but it is so fun. My kids ate tons of peas out of the garden tonight, and that alone is worth being a dorky old lady for, if you ask me!!

  2. It is so funny that you say this because ALL I was thinking about as I was washing the lettuce was checking to make sure all the bugs were off this time so there were no surprises like that summer we had that salad :) I can bring them to you tomorrow :) hehehe

  3. Normally I would take some, but we decided to plant our own garden this year, our unfortunately is over taken by weeds, I am just too lazy to go down there and pull them and that, just sounds like too much work on most days:) I cannot believe that your boys will eat pea pods, Carter will not eat a single veggie and the rest will eat corn and green beans!!  I am such a terrible mother!! I see that you were up north, I hope that you guys had a nice relaxing time!!

  4. I too have a garden...but mine isn't growing like yours!  But then again, I am not the greatest with things like that.  I tend to get all excited at first and then get lazy with it.  I've been good this summer with it...but still, nothing is growing too fast.  Maybe I planted the seeds wrong...CAN you plant seeds wrong?  ha ha
