I just got done plannig a getaway to Michigan! We are going to go to Milwaukee and take the ferry across Lake Michigan. I am excited about that...but a little freaked out about it too. I think it's the stories of the shipwrecks on the Great Lakes that get my imagination going in the wrong direction! I may just be the only one on th boat wearing a life jacket! I'm Kidding..I think. I dont know...there is something about being in the middle of such a deep lake and the water being so dark and cold ...blech! I might barf! The motion wont bother me one bit...just the thought of sinking!!! I cant wait though! I will get to see Sadie, and her boys... and I havent seen them in almost 2 years! Jake's mom is coming with us too- so that will make the trip even better. I seriously have the best mother-in-law ever. I dont even think of her as that...she is just like a 2nd mom :) So, needless to say, I am about to jump out of my skin and act all giddy from excitement! I cant believe we are getting away again!!! Waahoo :)

ReplyDeleteFerrys arent that bad, i went on my first one last weekend and it is only fun if its gorgeous weather.. wont that cost a lot? haha on our way to his cabin it was rainy and windy so the water kept splashin up on the car. but im glad you guys get to go to michigan! thats so exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lot of fun. We were in Michigan a few years ago. We went took a boat to Mackinac Island. The water was pretty choppy, but we loved the island. There are no cars there, only horses, horse drawn carriages and bikes. I want to go again when the kids are older.
