Well, we did it! We went on our first trip (Well, the first one that was NOT to the cabin anyway!!) We had a blast. I know I really wanted to go to Florida, but I think for now, this was way better. Going to the Dells was so fun... or as Justin calls it, "Wisconsin Tells." I have said this so many times since we got back that I am sick of saying it...but I will one more time..just for good measure. I had no idea that the Dells had all that stuff. I really thought that it was the hotles/resorts that you can see from 94, and a river with Duck boats on it. Whoopie, right? Holy crap... once we got off the highway and got back there, I was blown away. There are roller coasters, ferris wheels, candy shops, indoor amusement parks, an exploritory, tons of food, and every hotel had a totally different theme. Jake said it kind of reminded him of what Vegas would be like. The water park we went to was perfect for the kids too. It wasnt one of the "big" named resorts. This one is geared for 11 and under, so one of the pools only went as deep as 16 inches or something like that. We spent 2 nights there, then one in Milwaukee to see the old stomping grounds from when Jake was in school down there. It really was so much fun... aside from crazy loud hotels and maybe being one day too many... I hope the boys have awesome memories of this forever :) I dont even know how to narrow down the pictures I took...so I will just put a bunch on here. Picture freak...yep. I will never regret taking too many!
DAY1: Getting ready for the car ride (Ryan's first time facing forward!!) and playing in the waterpark when we got there...
DAY2: Tommy Bartlett Exploritory, and the water park.
DAY3: Milwaukee's COLD Lake front- Lake Michigan, and the new hotel with a new room number for the boys to remember.
DAY 4: Mitchell Domes, Milwaukee Pier, and the MKE Airport "observing" parking lot
So...sorry for the buttload of pictures. Atleast I only put about a third of them on here :)
Looks like a lot of fun!! Maybe we'll have to bring Belle there someday!
ReplyDeleteVery cute pictures!
XOXO
Where was the water park at in wisconsin dells, what was the name of it!? im very curious!
ReplyDeleteKatie- It was the Atlantis Hotel... have you been there before?? :)
ReplyDeletenope i dont think so, i guess a lot of the waterparks look the same:) haha
ReplyDeleteKrissy, you have motivated me to want to bring the kids there now!! The Atlantis looks awesome, is everything else you did nearby the hotel? How long of a drive was it to the Dells? I am glad that you guys had fun!! And Happy Belated Birthday to you and big boy Ryan:)
ReplyDeleteI think you guys would have a blast there :) It is awesome because they are geared for kids under 11... I dont remember how old Devon or Carter are- but they also have another pool that goes from 3 feet up to five feet and it has basketball hoops and balls. If they are taller or can swim..that pool is awesome. The shallow pool is just awesome for the smaller kids. Andy loved it because he could just be on his own and do what he felt like, instead of worrying about getting in over his head...and I think he and Reese are very close in age too...like 3 months apart- right? And Molly would just have a blast too hanging out with you guys or walking on her own... it was really fun.
ReplyDeleteIt took us about 3 1/2 - 4 hours to get there. They have the ducks going on the weekends now too :) Give it a try- I think it would be awesome.
