And it ended up all over our kitchen walls...
This is a paint color gone wrong- I want to puke everytime I see it.

No matter how I look at it, I cant like it. I tried and tried to like it so we didnt have to re-paint the beast. I hate it. The more I look at it, the more I want to run and hide!! The worst part is....
We put it here (In the dining room as an accent under the cabinets)....
And here too.... above the fire place to balance the rooms out. The kitchen is in the middle of these two rooms, so we accented the two little places to tie them together. ICK...
I tried telling myself it would get better once we paint the living room and dining room something other than white, but I cant wait that long, and I really dont like it enought to try. It had potentail. It is called Ginger Jar. I though it would be more brownish...but all I see is the great pumpkin Charlie Brown. Maybe I could leave it up till Halloween is over... Then pain it red and green for Christmas...hmmm.... (kidding, kidding..) Anyone want to babysit so we can paint this weekend??? hahaha....
Maybe the pictures don't do it justice, but I like it. What does that say about my taste?
ReplyDeleteHaha... I am sure you have great taste :) I should post a picture I have from when I was about 1 or 2 and we are at Kashabowie Lodge in Canada... the color is identical. Maybe that is why I cant take it. It is so close to the same color I feel like it is out of date or something! Maybe I should give it time and see how it looks against the blinds we will put on the patio doors and the other color in the living room.... Jake likes it and it sure would suck to try to paint it AGAIN... hmmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteI say let it sit for a year. If you still hate it, then repaint it. That way you get some time out of it and don't feel like you just painted.
